"Grown Men, Missing Appointments and Throwing Tantrums Since Forever"

Being in the service industry is character-building in the most chaotic way possible. You meet all kinds, the clueless, and of course, the entitled. The real MVPs are those who book an appointment and just… vanish. No text, no heads-up, just radio silence. Meanwhile, we’re scrambling to fit clients in because we genuinely hate turning people away.

But when someone ghosts their appointment, that slot is wasted. We lose money, the barber loses commission, and a deserving client misses their chance. But hey, it’s fine, your time matters more than anyone else’s, right?

We even send reminder messages and clearly mention the no-show fee, but still, some clients want to argue about it like we’re trying to scam them. The best ones are those who no-show two days in a row for two different services and then act shocked Pikachu when we enforce the fee. And they still refuse to take accountability. Grown men, acting like toddlers, how inspiring.

Even worse, there was a client who strolled in 20 minutes late and casually said, “Oh, I thought the appointment was one hour.” Wtf? Why does it matter if it’s one hour, two hours, or ten? You should be on time. What kind of logic is that? Why do some people feel so entitled to show up late like it’s a flex? It’s crazy. This is the definition of low respect for the service industry.

And let’s not forget the man-child who ghosted twice and then had the audacity to claim he never wanted the appointment to begin with. His grand finale? Accusing us of not understanding English and threatening to report us. Report us to who, the haircut police? Please. The only thing he’s qualified for is being permanently banned from our premises.

It’s no wonder restaurants are asking for deposits. People are out here booking three places for the same night like it’s a social experiment. This kind of selfish behaviour is killing small businesses. We’re all out here trying to survive, to create a quality experience, and then boom, ghosted. But sure, we’re the problem.
